D.LEE MORRIS

Lubbock-born alternative artist · now in Las Vegas

Classically trained in voice at Texas Tech University and known first as the frontman for 90’s Lubbock rock band Touch — whose album The Electric Iron-On Show became a local favorite and hit heavy rotation on regional radio — D.Lee now releases solo music that blends alternative rock, EDM, funk, and soul. His 2022 album Keep Take and a steady stream of singles carry that same live-wire energy into a modern, alt-pop sound.

About D.Lee Morris

D.Lee Morris is an alternative rock / EDM / soul artist currently based in Las Vegas, NV. Long before the solo releases and late-night production sessions, he was the voice of 90’s Lubbock rock band Touch — a group that took the local scene by storm and turned their debut album The Electric Iron-On Show into one of the best-selling local records in the region, outselling major-label artists in area stores and landing heavy rotation on regional radio. Touch began when guitarist Brad Bogle and singer Daniel “D.Lee” Morris met in a music theory class at Texas Tech University. Along with drummer Kenny Lachnicht and bassist Kit Lindsey, they built a sound that was emotive, powerful, and memorable — big choruses, guitar-driven energy, and shows that regularly filled Lubbock venues. After the Touch era, D.Lee carried that same live-wire intensity into solo work. His releases as D.Lee Morris span alternative rock, EDM, funk, jazz fusion, and straight-up rock & roll “with a twist of soul” — tracks like “Walk Off Let It Fall Off (I’m Wishing)”, “Time Flies Bye”, “Window Pain Again”, “Shakra Secret Me”, and “Always Low” showcase a mix of big hooks, cinematic production, and lyrics that sit somewhere between confession and catharsis. Today, the focus is simple: keep writing, keep releasing, and give listeners songs that feel like they were written for their own late drives, headphones, and loud rooms. No booking form, no hard sell — just music to press play on, turn up, and share.
